Poopi was a university project concerned with packaging design. In cooperation with my colleague Stefan Mayerhofer, we created a logo, look and feel as well as illustrations and came up with a promotional strategy.
The issue with toilet paper is: it's always packed in plastic. And who likes plastic? Nobody. That's why we decided to change the packaging material to cardboard and added value to it by coming up with a new possibility of using the packaging. The result was the "toilet throne" Poopi.
In order to address different target groups, we started with three different versions of packaging.
Our main version was the unicorn edition. We also created a baroque and, for the information-keen customers, an info graphic version. Our main source of inspiration for this project was the book "Darm mit Charme" by Giulia Enders.
Furthermore, we came up with various promotional tools. First, we created a POS display to be placed in a shop in order to show off the throne. Second, we also created a kit with stickers in public toilets for people to test it in real life. Third, we designed content for an interactive direct mail, where you can play with the flyer, which displays an astronaut with and without the throne.
