This project will always have a special place in my heart. Furthermore, it is likely the project I spent most time on, finetuning every part of it until I was completely satisfied with the end-result. The brief was to create a memorable invitation which the invitees would remember and through which they would feel appreciated.
I asked if I could go wild with regards to creativeness and got a go for it. At the same time, budget restrictions had to be kept in mind, which is why I dedicated myself to the task of creating a classy and special yet affordable invitation. For me, the invitation had to be simple and elegant. Simplicity was achieved by using once again typography as the only design element. Haptics added a luxurious touch. The result more than convinced my clients.
Each piece was crafted out of a large sheet of wood. The laser cutting process took numerous hours, as the back print also included a QR-code. Moreover, of course, every person had their name written on it. In order to make the wooden invitation look like a special ticket one would receive to be able to enter an invitation-only gala, the design features a perforation to tear apart the tie ticket.
